The Lawrence Edward Jackson, II Foundation was organized as a 501(c) (3) charitable organization to assist eligible students pursue their dreams to study music. The Foundation honors the life of Lawrence E. Jackson, II, the son of Hazel and Lawrence Jackson. Lawrence was a graduate of the Fort Bend Independent School District in Texas and Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. From the age of five, Lawrence had an extraordinary love and appreciation of music. Lawrence was a graduate of Southern University and was a member of the “Human Jukebox” Band throughout his college career. Lawrence had a servant’s heart and could usually be found helping others less fortunate than him.
